Darla Dianne "DeeDee" Dalton

Darla Dianne Dalton “DeeDee”, age 60 of Rocky Mount died Thursday, March 5, 2026 at her home. She was preceded by her mother, Betty M. Holmes; and step-mother, Clara Dalton. Surviving are her daughter, Chelsea Hylton (Logan); son, Mark Maxey; grandchildren, Weston Hylton and Lainey Hylton; father, Lawrence Dalton; sister, Misty Hall (Josh); brother, Ashley Holmes (Sarah); step-father, Jimmy Holmes (Cindy); nieces, Hailie Hall, Savannah Hall and Amanda Holmes; and nephew, Austin Holmes. DeeDee was a lifelong hairdresser, loved the outdoors and watching her Halmark movies. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2026 with Chaplain Rick Poland officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
