David Lee Bussey

David Lee Bussey, 69 of Ferrum passed away Thursday, January 17, 2013. He was born on July 29, 1943, the son of the late Charlie Amos Bussey Jr. and Virginia Hylton Bussey. He is preceded in death by his brother Arthur (Artie) Lester Bussey. Surviving are his wife, Norene Nolen Bussey; three daughters and sons-in-law, Charlotte Bussey Jordan and Tim of Callaway, Sally Ruth Bussey Powell and Dave of Gettysburg, Pa., Hannah Nolen Whitenack and Carl of Roanoke; eight grandchildren, Gabrielle Leigh Jordan, Lindsay Nicole Jordan, Jackson David Powell, Caroline Nolen Powell, Cabell Eli Powell, Annabelle Bouldin Powell, Lucy Elizabeth Whitenack and Bindi Leigh Whitenack. He is also survived by his siblings and their spouses, Martha Montgomery and Gerald, Ruth Cupp and Ted, John Bussey and Sylvia; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Geraldine Nolen Scott and Leo; sisters-in-law, Geneva Nolen Martin and Martha Rakes Nolen, and many nieces and nephews. The Celebration of Life will be held at St. James United Methodist Church on Sunday January 20, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Mary White officiating. His family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the church. Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to St. James United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 38, Ferrum, Va. 24088.
