David Samuel Flora

David Samuel Flora, age 88 of Boones Mill died Wednesday, March 7, 2018. He was born November 3, 1929 a son of the late Charlie Ben and Mae Plunkett Flora he was also preceded in death by his wife, Wysor Divers Flora and son, Bruce Flora; sisters, Racheal Flora and Jean Angle; brother, Arthur Denton Flora. Surviving are sons, Barry Flora (Aimee), Dennis Flora (Harriet Simpson); grandsons, Derek and Dakota Flora; sister, Helen Saul; brother, Richard Flora; several nieces and nephews including a special nephew, Lewis Saul. David was retired farmer and Rural Letter Carrier with the Post Office. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines, a member of the NRA and Republican Party and Germantown Brick Church of the Brethren. Funeral services will be conducted at Germantown Brick Church of the Brethren, 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 9, 2018. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
