David Grant Moore, age 57 of Redwood went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, October 6, 2008.
David was a devoted Dairy Farmer all of his life and enjoyed doing what he did for a living, he was a devoted member of Wirtz Assemblies of God.
David was a beloved son, husband, father and grandfather who touched the lives of many. He was preceded in death by his father, George W. Moore; and his father-in-law, Curtis Hall.
Surviving are his loving wife of 37 years, Kathy Moore; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Jay Bondurant. His pride and joy was his granddaughters Morgan Brooke Bondurant and Ashley Nicole Bondurant; his loving mother, Marybelle Moore; sisters and brothers, Judy and Sam Weddle, Marsha and Tommy Housman, Tommy and special friend Jo, Clay and Pam Moore; Greg and Janice Moore, Shari and Mark Bower. He is also survived by his loving mother-in-law, Frances Hall; several nieces and nephews; special devoted friends, John Lumsden, Wayne Nichols, Irwin Ward and Bill Webb.
Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Friday with Rev. Denver Turner officiating. Interment will follow in the Moore Family Cemetery at Red Hill Farm.
The family will accept flowers or memorial contributions may be made to the Children’s Church Fund, c/o Wirtz Assemblies of God, 1718 Burnt Chimney Road, Wirtz, Virginia 24184.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Flora Funeral Service and other times at the home of his brother and sister-in-law, Greg and Janice Moore, Webster Road, Glade Hill.
