David Ray Wyatt

David Ray “Doc” Wyatt, age 54 of Rocky Mount passed away at his home on Saturday, October 30, 2021. He was born on September 29, 1967 and was preceded in death by his father, Hubert C. Dowell; brother, Matthew D. Wyatt; grandmother, Bessie V. Hurline; pappy, Nelson B. Hurline uncles; Danny Hurline, Van Hurline, Philip Hurline. Doc is survived by his mother, Carolyn H. Dowell; daughters; Sarah Wyatt (Kenny), Danielle Wyatt; grandson, Hayden Martin; sisters, Melinda Hall, Kimberly Moore (Timmy), Debbie Dudley, April Scott (Sammy); aunt, Deborah Preston; uncle, Terry Hurline; nieces and nephews; Ashley Smith (Jay), Tony Hall (Shelby), Hannah Roope, Hollie Roope, Shawn Hunt (Breela), Shannon Hunt, Jamie Phillippe, Kasey Phillippe, Dylan Wyatt (Autumn), Kristen Wyatt, Trey Dudley (Brooke); many great-nieces and great-nephews. David loved to fish and spend time with his grandson. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Henry Fork Church of the Brethren with Pastor Ronald Coleman officiating.
