Davis Pagans

Surrounded by his family and loved ones, Davis W. Pagans, 82, of Glade Hill, VA entered into his Heavenly home on Sunday, January 6, 2008. Mi. Pagans was retired from Martinsville DuPont and was a loyal member of Glade Hill Baptist Church. After his retirement, Davis’ favorite pastime was tending his garden and farm. Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Louise M. Pagans of Glade Hill; his son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Lynn Pagans, and one very special granddaughter Amelia Blake Pagans, all of Rocky Mount. Also surviving are one sister, Joyce Smithers of Union Hall,; one brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Charlotte Pagans of Moneta; and sister-in-law, Mildred Mattox of Glade Hill. In addition to his family, Mr. Pagans is also survived by his loving caregivers for the last 4 ½ years, Beverly and Joe Rutter. The family will receive friends at Glade Hill Baptist Church on Tuesday evening from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at 2:00PM at Glade Hill Baptist Church with Rev. David Long officiating. Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Park. Flora Funeral Service is handling arrangements. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Handbell Ministry at Glade Hill Baptist Church, 6627 Colonial Tpke., Glade Hill, VA 24092.
