Deborah Lynn Perkey

Deborah "Debbie" Lynn Perkey, age 55 of Ferrum went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 20, 2015. Debbie was born December 28, 1959 in Alexandria, Va. She was a survivor of cancer for eight years and she is well known as a strong lady. Debbie was preceded in death by her mother, Louise Funk; father, Fred A. Perkey; two sisters, Judy Ward, Elvie Reid. Debbie leaves behind children, Chrissy, Timmy, and Danny; one step-child, Shannon; several grandchildren and step-grandchildren. Also left behind are sisters, Donna, Brenda, Kathy, Treva; brothers, Danny and Wayne. Debbie also leaves behind boyfriend, Brian Fisher; several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. Graveside service will be held 3 p.m. Friday at the Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to assist with expenses.
