Deborah Lynne Powell

Deborah Lynne Hodges Powell, age 47 of Rocky Mount died Friday, September 3, 2010. She was preceded in death by her father, Vern Hodges; mother, Ruby Hodges Campbell; and two brothers, Wayne Hodges and Vern (Junior) Hodges. Deborah was a former employee of Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital. Surviving are her husband, Gerald Powell; one son and daughter-in-law, James Powell and wife Jennifer; two sisters, Gladys Hodges and Margie Pagans; brother, Terry Hodges; mother-in-law, Maxine Dickerson; two granddaughters, Lauren Powell and Lindsay Powell; sister-in-law, Rhonda Brizendine and husband Richard; many nieces and nephews too numerous to mention. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Tuesday. Interment will follow in the Brooks-Brown Family Cemetery. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
