Deborah Lynn Thompson

Deborah Lynn Thompson, age 53 of Rocky Mount and originally from West Virginia, went to be with the Lord Friday, February 6, 2009 after a lengthy battle with illness. She was preceded in death by her mother, Wanda Lee Alexander. Surviving are her husband, Danny (Jay Bird) Eugene Thompson, Sr.; children, Danny (Jay) Eugene Thompson, Jr. (Sharon), Cary Lee Thompson (Michelle), Kandi Lynn Burdette (Shady), Kasey Dawn Thompson; grandchildren, Danny (DJ) Eugene Thompson, III, Katherine Liddle, Stephanie Liddle, Tiffany Thompson, Nicolas Thompson, Jackie Dakota Hall, Miranda Thompson, Christian Burdette, Chase Thompson, Alexa Burdette, Trevor Burdette; father, Urie Lee Alexander, Sr.; brothers and sisters, Urie Lee Alexander, Jr., Sharon Kay Harris, Linda Sue Rojas. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Monday with Dr. J. Cecil Riley officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park.
