Denny Keith Young, Jr.

Denny Keith Young, Jr. (DJ) 26 of Ferrum passed away June 10, 2012 at home from a brain tumor. He was born November 3, 1985. He is survived by his fiancé, Amber Sloan; mother and father, Jeanie Martin and Denny Young; brother, Ben Young (Samantha); sister, Stella Young (Warren); maternal grandparents, Nancy Sink and Richard Martin; special friends, Scott and James Jones , Johnny Dudley and Josh McPherson; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and friends from Trinity packaging. The family would like to thank Dr. Skelton, Dr. Elias and the 9th floor ICU staff at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital and Hospice for their care and support. A special thanks to Jimmy Sloan and the Crossroads Ruritan Club for the fundraiser in November and 40 West Food Fare for their support. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Flora Funeral Chapel with Pastor Ronald Coleman officiating. Interment will follow at Cooper Family Cemetery. His family will receive friends 6-8 pm Tuesday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
