Denver Edward Peters

Pastor Denver Edward Peters, 77 of Rocky Mount went home to be with his heavenly Father, Tuesday, March 13, 2018. He loved to work with his hands in carpentry and wood work and was formerly employed by Martin Processing and Guyer-Roberts before going into business for himself. He went into the ministry and pastored Love of Christ in Callaway and Greater Vision in Rocky Mount. He was preceded in death by his parents, father, Leslie Carter and mother, Lula Alford; brother, Bobby Carter and stepsons, Alan D. Vernon and Gary L. Vernon. Denver is survived by his wife, Glenda Peters; son, David (Shannon) Peters; step son, George (Kori) Vernon; daughters, Brenda (Tim) Peters, Priscilla (Mike) Locher; brothers, Buddy (Susan) Carter and Randy (Jenny) Carter; sisters, Marie (Michael) Crouch and Jane (Ken) Wolford; grandchildren, Justin, Caileigh, Gavin, Sadie, Abigail and Michaela; numerous other family and friends. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel, 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 16, 2018 with Rev. Ronald Coleman and Pastor Donnie Young officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. His family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
