Dessie "Dee" Jones Moore

Dessie “Dee” Jones Moore, age 94 of Rocky Mount, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Willie Moore; parents, Herbert and Annie Hodges Jones; and children, Norman Benjamin “Bennie” Moore and Bobby Wayne Moore. She was the last surviving of her immediate family of eight siblings. Surviving are her daughter, Jean Diane Guthrie (Robert); daughters-in-law, Mary Moore and Carolyn Moore; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and special niece, Frances Lynch. A graveside service will be held at Franklin Memorial Park, 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2024 with Pastor Eddie Hawks officiating. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
