Dewey Herbert Bowling

Dewey Herbert Bowling, age 87 of Martinsville died Monday, December 19, 2022. Dewey was born May 29, 1935 a son of the late Emmett and Angie Bowling. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Joan Watkins; and brothers, Roger Bowling and Richard Bowling. Following high school Dewey served in the United States Army National Guard. He then went to work for E.I. DuPont where he retired with many years of service. Surviving are his children, Cindy Bowling Jefferson, Will Bowling and Jeff Bowling; grandchildren, Spencer Jefferson, Lindsay Jefferson, Gunter Bowling, Christian Naff and Tabitha Bowling; great-grandchildren, Nathaniel Eggleston and Nolan Naff; brother, Donnie Bowling; and sisters, Iris Hundley and Shirley Edwards. A memorial service will be held in his honor on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Baptist Church, 2370 Snow Creek Road, Martinsville, Virginia.
