Dianne W. Mccauley

Born on June 9, 1937, Dianne McCauley passed from this life on September 14, 2017 in Wirtz, VA. After graduating from Madison College (JMU) with a degree in teaching, Dianne dedicated her life to the young people who filled her English classes, first at Hammond High School in Alexandria, VA and then for over 25 years at W.T. Woodson High School in Fairfax, VA. She is survived by husband, Sidney McCauley; daughter, Kimber Helms; son-in-law, Nicholas Helms; granddaughter, Madeleine Helms; grandson, John Helms; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Waldrep. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to Halesford Baptist Youth Fund, 2485 Lost Mountain Road, Wirtz, VA 24184. A memorial service will be held at Halesford Baptist Church on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 11:00 am. with Pastor Melvin Harris officiating. Inurnment will follow in the church columbarium. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A second memorial service will be held in Northern Virginia at a time and place to be determined. Inquiries can be made to mccauley.memorial@outlook.com after October 21.
