Dominic Neal “Nicky” Matherly, age 55, of Penhook died Sunday, March 8, 2009.
He was a member of Forrest Hill Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carroll L. Matherly; nephew, Walker Edwin Shank; grandparents, Roy and Kate Matherly and Lenard and Helen Walker.
Surviving are his mother, Genny Walker Matherly; daughter, Christine Danielle Blankenship; special friend, Jennifer K. Reynolds; sister, Sandra Matherly Shank and husband Ralph Shank, Jr.; nephew, Taylor Carroll Shank; several aunts, uncles and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted from Forrest Hill Christian Church 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, 2009 with Minister Ted Clifton and Mr. Stewart Adkins officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
His family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorial donations may be made to Forrest Hill Christian Church, 13181 Snow Creek Road, Penhook, Va. 24137 or a charity of the donor’s choice.
