He was a quiet man who had a big heart and cared deeply for others, especially those affected by cancer. To celebrate his life, friends and family will gather at the Callaway Fire House on Sunday, November 17, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held at Mountain View Memorial Park, Boones Mill with Pastor Ray Bayse officiating on Monday, November 18, 2013 at 11:00 am. Instead of flowers the family asks that you donate to the Leukemia, Lymphoma Society, the Crohn?s and Colitis Foundation of America or the American Cancer Society. Special thanks and gratitude go the 10 Mountain SICU nursing staff at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for their care and support while Donnie was with them.
