Donald D. Daly (Don) age 80, of Moneta, Virginia passed away May 2, 2014 at Trinity Mission Rehab in Rocky Mount. He was the son the late Charles Daly and Pearl Bacher. He was preceeded in death by 3 brothers; Charlie Daly, Ed Daly, and Bob Daly all of whom resided in Pennsylvania. Don shared the past 38 years of his life with his loving wife, Anne Daly. They enjoyed living on the lake at The Water?s Edge and The Water Front. Anne and Don had a passion for traveling and water sports. Not only did they partake in several cruises around the Caribbean, but they spent many years sailing on the Chesapeake Bay. Don, at age 19, built a small vessel with 2 of his buddies and sailed around the Barnegat Bay in New Jersey. Sharing in their grief are his wife and five children: Donna and Bob Logan of Texas, Denise and Scott Tindall of Pennsylvania, Doreen Kilner of Salem, Virginia, Jeffry Gore of Moneta, Virginia, and Jami Wasilewski of Rocky Mount, Virginia and 10 grandchildren. There will be a visitation in honor of Don on Friday, May 9, at Flora Funeral Home 665 South Main Street, Rocky Mount, Virginia from 6:00-8:00PM. Also there will be a memorial service Sunday, June 1, at 2:00, at Christ Community Church, in Penhook.
