Donald George Kummer, age 70 of Bassett died Saturday, January 28, 2017. He was born May 23, 1946 a son of the late George and Muriel Kummer. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Bagley Kummer; and step-daughter, Cindy DeBiase. Surviving are his daughters, Laura Bercik, Lisa Kummer, Holly Bashura; grandchildren, Jordan, Matthew and MacKenzie Bercik, Jacob and Olivia Bashura; step-son, Donald Donofrio; step-grandchildren, Carl DeBiase, Jr. and Joshua Sanderson; brothers, David and Robert Kummer; many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held in his home state of Connecticut. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
