Donald Ray Martin, age 54 of Callaway passed away Thursday, August 6, 2009 after a long courageous battle with cancer.
He was born September 11, 1954 to the late Sherman and Margaret Martin. Also, preceding him in death were brothers, Thomas Martin and Bobby Martin; and his sister, Elizabeth Martin.
He was educated in the Franklin County School System and was a longtime employee of Cooper Wood.
He leaves to cherish his memory four children, Denise Mason, Demetria Mason, Kia Hughes and Marlon Ware; one brother, Charles Martin; one sister, Mildred (Sandy) Mattox; three grandchildren, Deja Mason, Jayda Mason and Javon Mason; special devoted friends, Dean Nichols and family and Jay Hicks and family; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family would also like to express a sincere appreciation to the staff of Carilion Hospice of Franklin County.
Graveside services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday from Castleview Baptist Church Cemetery.
