Donald L. Riddle, Sr.

Donald L. Riddle, Sr. (Don) age 78, of Rocky Mount passed away Friday March 12, 2010. Don was a Virginia State Trooper for 33 years, a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict and served 20 years in the United States Army Reserve. He also served 8 years on the Franklin County Board of Supervisors. He was preceded in death by his parents Fay and Martha Riddle. Surviving are his wife Jolene Riddle; his children Kaye Hale, Donald Riddle, Jr. and friend and former wife Kym Sowder, Tommy Riddle and wife Alyson; Step- children and spouses Michael and Lori Toler, Kim and Willis Bruggemann; grandchildren Billy Riddle, Chris Riddle and wife Corey, Tanner Hale, Austin Riddle, Allyn Riddle; step-grandchildren Hunter, Aaron and Kaylee Bruggemann; great-granddaughter Caedyn Riddle; a sister June Huff; one niece and two nephews, very special friends Karl and Sandra Martin. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Flora Funeral Chapel with Rev. Burton White and Rev. Liz Lazenby officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park.
