Donann Slate

Donann Slate, the daughter of the late Early “Bud” and Helen Gravely went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 25, 2022 surrounded by her family. Donann was a shining example of how to love and she loved everyone the same. The joy in her life came from spending time with family, attending the Adult Care Center in Roanoke, listening to music with her brother Gary, and visiting with her grandchildren. Donann was preceded in death by her parents; special aunt, Edna; and daughter, Kathy. Donann leaves behind her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Kenny Michael; brother, Gary Gravely; granddaughters, Katana Ostic and Savannah Michael and great-granddaughter, Lily. The family would like to give special thanks to the Adult Day Care Center of the Roanoke Valley and Good Samaritan Hospice for the care and compassion they provided for Donann. A graveside service will be held at Mountain View Cemetery, Vinton, 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 28, 2022. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
