Donie Dillon Robertson

Donie Dillon Robertson, age 78 of Rocky Mount died Thursday, December 15, 2016. Donie was born October 31, 1938 a daughter of the late Robert and Mary Ellis Dillon. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Robertson; sisters, Gladys Williams, Lena Williams, Effie Altice, Mary Barbour, Nannie Stultz; and brothers, Harry, Landon and Ed Dillon. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Barbara Robertson; grandchildren, Taylor Robertson and wife Jeni, Heather Hammond and husband Russ; great-grandson, Owen Lee Robertson; sisters, Etheleen Layman, Nina Prillaman; and brothers, Clyde and Luther Dillon. Donie was a member of Franklin Heights Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Sunday with Dr. Stan Parris and Rev. Mark Griffith officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Franklin Heights Baptist Church General Fund, 110 Hilltop Drive, Rocky Mount, Virginia 24151. Her family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount and other times at the home of Ricky and Barbara Robertson, 280 Hillcrest Drive, Rocky Mount.
