Donna Ileen Dillon, age 68 of Rocky Mount went to be with the Lord and rid herself of the terrible disease of dementia on Saturday, December 29, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, Buren and Ernestine Perdue; brother, Wayne Perdue; and her nephew, Danny Sloan, Jr. Donna is survived by her sons, Arnold Dillon, Jr. and wife Rebecca, James “Jay” Dillon (Tiffany Thomas); grandchildren, Ashley (Dillon), Alexis (Robbie Smith), Angelina, and William Dillon (Haley); great-grandchildren, Isabella Smith and Willow Dillon; brother and sisters and their spouses, Bobby (Nancy) Perdue, David (Linda) Perdue, Roxanne (Brian) Snyder, Betty LaPrade (Mike), Janie (Danny) Sloan; sister-in-law, Stella Perdue; several nieces and nephews; and her former husband, Arnold Dillon, Sr. Donna was a homemaker the majority of her life. She loved to walk and walked miles on top of miles around Rocky Mount with her friend Carolyn Forbes. Special thanks to Samantha Dalton and nurses at Blue Ridge Therapy Connection and Eric Ferguson of Rhodes Ferguson and Stone in Rocky Mount, VA. Funeral services will be conducted from Rocky Mount United Methodist Church 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 2, 2019 with Rev. Bruce Tuttle and Rev. Will Waller officiating. Interment will be private in High Street Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Rocky Mount United Methodist Church, 35 North Main Street, Rocky Mount, Virginia 24151 in Donna’s name. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
