Donna Cheshire Holland

Donna Cheshire Holland, age 69 of Rocky Mount, entered into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday August 20, 2026. Donna was a devoted woman of faith whose love for her Lord was evident in the way she lived her life. Her kindness was given freely, and her prayers were a gift she gladly offered to others. Donna was a member of Franklin Heights Church. She was a faithful and loving wife to her beloved husband, Benny, and cherished her family. She also held a special place in her heart for her beloved dog, Tillie. Donna had a creative spirit and a natural talent for art, especially painting.

Through her creativity, she had a gift for bringing beauty to the world around her. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Betty Smith Cheshire; her sister, Rhonda Chesire; parents-in-law, Landon and Nova Holland. She is survived by her devoted husband of 32 years, Benny Holland; son, Brandon Holland of Richmond; sisters, Janet (Justin) Altice and Judy (Roger) Nash of Martinsville; brother, Derrick (Jennifer) Cheshire of Salsbury, NC; sister-in-law, Patti Hall; along with many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

She also leaves behind her Agape Connect Group at Franklin Heights Church as well as many extended family members and friends whose lives were touched by her love, kindness and faith. Funeral services will be conducted at Franklin Heights Church, 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 24, 2026 with Pastor Bobby Young and Pastor Mike Wingfield officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers please consider a memorial to Franklin Heights Church.
