Donny Ray Smawley, Jr.

Donny Ray Smawley, Jr., age 38 of Rocky Mount died Monday, March 7, 2016 at his home. He was born December 25, 1977 and was preceded in death by his father, Donny R. Smawley, Sr. Surviving are his wife, Lindsay Smawley; sons, Peyton and Ethan Smawley; mother, Carol Smawley Slonka; grandmothers, Lillian Palmer and Cordie Smawley; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Neva and Don Farris; sister-in-law, Pam Ferguson; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Donny was a member of Rocky Mount United Methodist Church. Memorial services will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday at Rocky Mount United Methodist Church with Rev. Bruce D. Tuttle officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Rocky Mount United Methodist Church, 35 North Main Street, Rocky Mount, Va. 24151. His family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
