Doris W. Lovell

Doris Wood Lovell, age 87 of Rocky Mount died Wednesday, October 7, 2009. She was a daughter of the late Ezra and Hester Wood and was also preceded in death by her husband, R.H. (Hooker) Lovell; and niece, Annette Wood. Mrs. Lovell was a member of the Antioch Church of the Brethren. Surviving are her brothers, Melvin Wood and wife Lorene of Boones Mill, and Donnie Wood and wife Judy of Roanoke; nieces and nephews, Sandra and Lynn Myers, Randy and Hope Wood, Christie and Steve Shively in addition to extended family. Funeral services will be conducted from Antioch Church of the Brethren 10 a.m. Friday with Rev. David Wolfe officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Antioch Church of the Brethren, 2996 Callaway Road, Rocky Mount, Virginia 24151.
