Dorothy Keith Bowles

Dorothy Louise Keith Bowles, age 83 of Rocky Mount died Tuesday, September 6, 2011. She was born July 15, 1928 in Floyd County a daughter of the late James and Lila Wilson Keith. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Junior, Russell, Ronnie, Coy Arlet Keith. Dorothy was retired from DuPont with 37 years of service and was a member of Furnace Creek Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband of 61 years, Belvie Bowles; brothers, Cecil Keith of Newport News, Fred Quinton Keith of Martinsville; sister, Mary Sue Terry of Rocky Mount; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from Furnace Creek Baptist Church 2 p.m. Friday with Pastor Mike Lawhorn officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the church. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
