Dorothy Bee Hodges

Dorothy Bee Hodges, 85 of Glade Hill passed away Friday, September 5, 2014. Mrs. Hodges was a long time member of Redwood United Methodist Church. She was preceded death by her loving husband Albert Guy Hodges; two brothers, Herman Brown and Henry Brown; two sisters, Hazel Riffey and Hallie Anderson; four brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law. Left to cherish her memory are two sons, Dennis Hodges and Bobby Dale Hodges; daughter, Diane Bousman; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Helen Moran, Peggy Davis, Jane Trout and Phyllis Martin; brothers, John Everette Brown and Ben Brown, Jr.; sisters-in-law, Jo Brown and Mary Brown; a number step-grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Special thanks to caregiver Renae Whitlow, and her best friend and family, Lori Baker, her church family and Hospice of Franklin County. Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel, 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 7, 2014 with Rev. Bradley S. Dulaney officiating. Interment will follow in the Family Cemetery. Her family will receive friends 6-8 pm Saturday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
