Dorothy Gay Steinle

Dorothy “Gay” Steinle, age 85 of Moneta died Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at her home. She was born November 1, 1937 a daughter of the late Morton and Dorothy Burrows Leonard and was also preceded in death by her brother, Morton Leonard. Surviving are her husband of 63 years, Robert “Bob” Steinle; children, Christopher Steinle (Heather) and Karyn Poznic (Andreas); grandchildren, Clay Stanfield, Justin Stanfield (Cassie), Tyler Poznic (Libby), Rose Upham (Keith) and Andy Steinle; great-grandchildren, Spencer Poznic, Sutton Poznic, Aspen Stanfield and Hazel Upham; along with several nieces. Mrs. Steinle was a retired Travel Agent. She enjoyed snow skiing, boating, dancing and most of all her social life with family and friends. Services will be private. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount – Smith Mountain Lake.
