Dorothy Webster

Dorothy Webster 89, of Boones Mill passed away on Wednesday September 6, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin C. Webster Sr.; parents, David and Bertha Kuiken, in-laws, Rufus and Fannie Webster and son in-law, Mike Byrd. Dorothy would have celebrated her 90 ^th birthday on September 9 ^th . She was the proud daughter of Dutch Immigrants. Her proudest accomplishments were her children and grandchildren. Dorothy was known for her secret recipes, pickle dishes, and her laughter. She retired from MW Windows. She is survived by her son, M. Cary Webster (Carolyn); daughters, Judy Byrd, Dottie Truman (Wayne), and Shirley Simmons (Andrew); grandchildren, David Webster (Mitzi), Bradley Truman (Missy), Melissa Truman, and Marvin Simmons (Kasey); 10 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren; brother, Richard Kuiken (Darlene); in-laws, Glen Webster, Dick Webster (Ruth), Page Webster, Galen Flora, Hilda Green (Billy), Loulie Argabright and Mary Ellen Meredith (Butch); along with numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Brandon Oaks for their loving care of our mother and special recognition to Tonya, Katrina, Hope, Melissa and all the staff who have cared for her over the last years. Funeral services will be conducted at Bethlehem Church of the Brethren, 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 10, 2017 with Pastor Bill Hinton officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Her family will receive friends 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Saturday at Bethlehem Church of the Brethren. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
