Douglas James Moats

Douglas James Moats, age 44 of Rocky Mount died Monday, June 29, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Elizabeth Moats; and brother, Eddie. Surviving are his wife, Teresa P. Moats; children, Shawn Douglas Moats, Abigail Lindsey Moats; sister, Elizabeth F. Hamm; aunt and uncle, Dorlores and Louis Figueroa; cousin, Jorge Figueroa; nieces, Kayla, Beth, and Christie Moats; special friends, Brad and Jennifer Osgood. Douglas will be remembered for the three greatest loves of his life, Jesus Christ, Shawn Douglas and Abigail Lindsey. Doug was a loving father and a true friend to many. He will be deeply missed. Remember Douglas when you hear a clap of thunder as it will be him racing his Mopars in Heaven. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Friday with Pastor Jeff Robinson officiating. His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
