Douglas Gerald Pigg

Douglas Gerald Pigg, age 60 of Ferrum, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2011. He was an employee of Southern Heritage Homes and was a US Army Veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert Edgar and Georgia Webb Pigg. Surviving are his wife Elizabeth Jeanette Pigg, sisters Elizabeth (Liz) Thompson of Bassett, Va. and Linda Paul of Poquoson, Va., brothers Claymon, of Benton, KY, Robert Hurl of Ferrum, Va. and Arnold of Rocky Mount, Va. Memorial services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Flora Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest that memorial donations be made to the American Red Cross to assist victims of the recent tornados.
