Dudley Patrick Whitlock

Dudley Patrick Whitlock, age 46 of Ferrum died Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Trinity Mission Health and Rehab Center. He was preceded in death by his father, Francis Wayne (Rastus) Whitlock and a brother Dennis Wayne Whitlock. Dudley worked at Crossroads Store from an early age until he became disabled. He is survived by his mother, Rachel Quinn Whitlock of Ferrum; two brothers, Perry T. Whitlock and wife Carol of Ferrum and Berkley Whitlock of the home and special friend Robin Cawley; five nephews, Timothy Whitlock and wife Rachel of Wirtz, Gary Whitlock and fiancé Brandie Spencer of Redwood, Jon Wisniewski of Wirtz, Patrick Whitlock of Ferrum and Gage Hubbard of Rocky Mount; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Special appreciation to Dr. Atienza and Carilion Home Health Care and Nurses Touch especially Waymon Tyree and Latoya Wright and staff at Trinity Mission. Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2013 with Rev. Bud Nichols officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. His family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
