E. David Angle, 80 of Wirtz went to be with the Lord on Thursday September 15, 2016. He was born March 5, 1936, a son of the late Ernest and Agatha Angle and was preceded in death by brothers, Charles and Edwin Angle. In 1990 David retired from Leggett Department Store after decades of enjoying service to his many friends in Franklin County. He was an avid league bowler for over fifty years and always enjoyed good food and family gatherings. David touched many lives with his smile and generosity. He will be forever missed by his family and friends. Left to cherish David’s memory is his devoted wife of more than sixty years, Ernestine Greenwood Angle and their four children and spouses, Bonita and Barney Woody, Neysa and Lewis Allen, Kevin and Phyllis Angle and Scott and Patricia Angle. Carrying on his legacy are grandchildren and spouses, Randi and Eric Wilkins, Sara and Stuart Jamison, Callie Angle and Zachary Angle and great-grandchildren, Haley Wilkins, Blake Wilkins, Wyatt Jamison and Curan Jamison. He is also survived by nieces, Desi Wine, Dana Poore, Diana Wardle and Suzanne Smith, nephews, Greg greenwood and Mike McLaughlin. Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Sandy Ridge Baptist Church with Pastor Joe Dillon officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Saturday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
