Earnestine Hodges Arrington

Earnestine Hodges Arrington, age 85 of Rocky Mount died Friday, April 23, 2021. She was born May 16, 1935 a daughter of the late Jesse and Mazor Hodges. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Roger Arrington; sister, Ellen Anderson; and great-grandson, Connor Hodges. Surviving are her children, Rebecca Jackson (Jesse), Russell Arrington, Richard Arrington (Cyndi), Ricky Arrington, Barry Hodges (Brenda), Betsy Merricks (Rueben), Johnny Hodges, Deborah Gravely (Wesley); 13 grandchildren including Suzanne Williams who was like a daughter to her; 27 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted from Henry Fork Church of the Brethren 11 a.m. Monday with Pastor Ronald Coleman officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to Henry Fork Church of the Brethren. Her family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Sunday at Henry Fork Church of the Brethren.
