Ed Tyler

Hubert Edgar "Ed" Tyler, age 86 of Boones Mill, Va. passed away Thursday, August 22, 2013. Ed retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad with 41 years of service. He was also a member of Boones Mill Christian Church. Surviving are his wife, Iris Jamison Tyler; his son, Edward Lee "Eddie" Tyler and wife Mary; grandsons, Joshua Tyler, Jacob Tyler; step-grandchildren, Ashley Hoback, Amber Hoback; great-grandson, Kaydyn Tyler; great-granddaughter, Kayleigh Gardner; sister-in-law, Frances Tyler; cousin, Peggy Bowman; and special friends, Jeff and Dana Moran. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Monday with Rev. Joy Haskin Rowe and Rev. Jim Compton officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park. His family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
