Eddie Lee Webster

Eddie Lee Webster of Boones Mill passed away Saturday, November 8, 2025, he was 72 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman Peters Webster and Frances Abshire Webster; brother, Herman Philip Webster; and his step-son, Kevin Walterson.

Eddie is survived by his wife, Connie Sigmon Webster, who he called the love of his life. He is also survived by his twin sister, Heddie Webster Sumner and husband Bill; in-laws, Jesse and Nadine Sigmon; step-grandchildren, Phillip Walterson and Krislyn Colombini; four sisters-in-law and their husbands; and several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and step-great-grandchildren.

Eddie lived a busy life, from his work in the Navy, on the Truett and Nimitz, to his time at General Electric, and volunteer activities. In the early 1980’s he served on the Boones Mill Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squads. Playing Santa on the firetruck in the Christmas parade was a great joy. With GE, he traveled the world for work, crossing the US, Japan, and Egypt. He loved his second career of gunsmithing and custom builds. He also loved music, playing the guitar, golf, motorcycles, woodworking, cooking and so much more. He was especially thankful for his friends.

His family expresses sincere thanks to Carilion Home Health and Hospice staff and ambulance drivers. He especially loved his hospice nurse Helen. Eddie’s family shared – “We are so fortunate to have wonderful family, friends and neighbors to help us through this journey”.

A service of remembrance will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Flora Funeral Service in Rocky Mount, Va. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. before the service.
