Edith Altice Brooks

Edith Altice Brooks, age 93 of Rocky Mount, passed away Friday, July 16, 2010 at Franklin Healthcare. She was born April 23, 1917 a daughter of the late George and Virginia Harrison Altice. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 42 years Woodrow Brooks, sisters Eva Crook, Dorothy Altice, Clara Hall, Alice Hall, Thelma Hunter brother Claudie Altice. Surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, special friends and other relatives. She was a Seamstress for many years and an avid gardener. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 19, 2010 with Elder Junior Conner and Elder Larry Hollandsworth officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Memorial Park. Special thanks to the staff of Franklin Healthcare Center for their care and concern. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
