Edith Hodges Wray, age 85 of Rocky Mount passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016 at her residence. She was born September 29, 1930 a daughter of the late John William (Cova) and Pearl Hodges and was also preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Terry Wray, a son Roger Dale, brother Walter Hodges, sisters, Irene McGuire, Peggy Hawks and Gertrude Prater. Surviving are her sons, Timmy Wray (Ann Hodges) and Danny Wray; daughter, Darlene Wray; grandchildren, Cindy Markham (Jason), Tiffany Dent, Mindy Dent, Zach Moore and Siarra Moore; six great grandchildren; sisters Louise Lynch, Elizabeth Holcomb (Blaine), Joyce Hudson, Nannie Holland, Maxine Weeks (Wayne) and Brenda Furrow (Wray). A special thanks to Sandra Scott and many other nieces and nephews. Also thanks to Carilion Hospice Services of Franklin County for their loving care. Edith was a long time member of Henry Fork Church of the Brethren where funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2016 with Pastor Ronald Coleman officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends 6-8 pm Tuesday at Henry Fork Church. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
