Edna Winifred Love, age 94 of Radford passed away Monday, September 10, 2012 at Red Oak Manor in Rocky Mount. She was the aunt of many nieces and nephews and second mother of Ramona. She was born February 15, 1918 daughter of the late Eldridge and Judie Love. Edna was born in Franklin County and moved to Martinsville where she worked in the factories before moving to Radford to live with Nora and Leonard and their two children. She remained in Radford where she worked at Inland Motors and completed her work career at Radford College. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Denver (Virginia), Virginia (Jesse “Hub”), Ira “Blunder” (Irene), Elsie “Ella” (Reginald “Fred”), Otis “Dankus” (Margaret). Family members include nieces and nephews, Gene (Eloise), Nora, who was her special caregiver who said white to whatever Addie Mae’s said was black and (Leonard “Bloom”) deceased, Mary Elizabeth, Russell (deceased); great-nieces and great-nephews, Ramona “Lil Miss Bell” (Michael “Willie”), Ronald (Debbie), Lenora (Wayne), Leonard (Patricia); three special great-great-nieces, Sabrina (Dominick), Dawn (Tommy who she wanted him to take to Las Vegas to be a dancing girl) and Michele (Dewey); also six great-great-nieces and five great-great-nephews; and a host of great-great-great nieces and a nephew. Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Wirtz. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
