Edward Lee Moats, Sr.

Edward Lee Moats, Sr., age 67 of Rocky Mount passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2008. Mr. Moats was a US Navy Veteran and worked for Shelba D. Johnson Trucking Co. for 28 years. He was a member of Franklin Heights Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth M. Moats; father and step-mother John and Nina Moats; mother Mabel Moats. Surviving are two sons Edward L. Moats, Jr., Douglas J. Moats; daughter Elizabeth “Bunny” Moats; five grandchildren; several brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 11 a.m. Friday, November 21, 2008 with Rev. Mark Griffith officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Flora Funeral Service and at other times at the home of Luis and Dolores Figueroa, 1135 Callaway Rd, Rocky Mount.
