Edwin L. Bowman

Edwin L. Bowman age 69 of Wirtz passed away Saturday, March 26, 2011. He was born December 17, 1941, son of the late Herman and Ruth Bowman and was also preceded in death by his sister, Elaine Bowman. Surviving are his wife, Doris Rutrough Bowman; daughter and son-in-law, Rita and John Popejoy, of Hillsboro, WI; sons and daughter-in-law, Roland and Erlene Bowman, Boones Mill, Aaron Bowman, Sonora, CA; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Eloise Bowman; mother-in-law, Frances Rutrough. Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Oak Hill Old German Baptist Brethren Church with The Home Brethren officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Monday at the church. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
