Edwin F. Dyer

Edwin F. Dyer, age 95 of Boones Mill died Wednesday, October 28, 2015. He was born February 3, 1920, a son of the late C. W. and Bettie Carter Dyer. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Pearl Turner Dyer, two brothers and one sister. Ed was a U. S. Army Veteran serving in WW II and Korea, and was a member of Basham Primitive Baptist Church. Surviving are his children, John Dyer and Betty Waggoner (Tim); five grandchildren, Michael, Theresa, Elizabeth, John and Catherine. Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel, 10:00 a.m. Monday with Elder Junior Conner officiating. Interment will follow in Republican Church Cemetery. His family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Sunday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
