Edwin Wythe Prillaman

Edwin Wythe Prillaman, age 82 of Rocky Mount passed away Sunday evening, November 19, 2023 at New River Valley Carilion Hospital. He was a life-time member of the Franklin County Rescue Squad. Edwin was preceded in death by his parents, Carey and Ethel Prillaman; brothers, Andy (Jeanette), Saunders, J.C. and a sister, Juanita (Walter) Powell. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Margie Tosh Prillaman; son, Kenneth Edwin; his buddy, “Bear”; sisters-in-law, Gloria Dean Prillaman, Juanita Tosh, Mildred Tosh, Gladys Tosh, Shirley Tosh, Mayree Robertson, Joyce Ross (David); many nieces and nephews; special neighbors, Timmy Hogan and Gerald Cooper. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to We Care of Franklin County (Jerry Greer). Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Devotion Mausoleum, Mountain View Memorial Park, 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 24, 2023 with Pastor John Collins officiating.
