Elaine Tosh Brooks

Elaine Tosh Brooks, age 80 of Union Hall died Monday, July 11, 2022 in a Roanoke Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.T. Brooks; parents, Grover C. and Hettie Smith Tosh; brother, Grover C. “Junior” Tosh, Jr.; and two sisters-in-law, Bernice Midkiff and Trish Walker. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Robert Adkins of Union Hall; her grandson, R.T. Adkins (Shyla Williams); granddaughter, Emily Adkins (Jamie Perdue); three sisters-in-law, Linda Tosh, Frances Payne and Nora Guilliams; one brother-in-law, Mike Walker; many nieces and nephews. She retired from E.I. Dupont after 31 years of service. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Thursday, July 14, 2022 with Rev. David Long officiating. Interment will follow in the Brooks Family Cemetery. Her family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
