Eldridge Taylor (ET) Turner, age 78 of Smith Mountain Lake passed away Sunday, October 6, 2013. ET was the owner of Rocky Mount Florist for 20 years where his knowledge for growing and designing floral arrangements gave him great joy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Noah Wilton Turner and Nannie Kate Robertson Turner; sister, Mary Lois Hall; and brother, Kenneth Douglas Turner. Surviving are his sons, Todd W. Turner and Bradley T. Turner; mother of his sons, Betty P. Turner; brothers, Glenwood Turner (Barbara) of Ohio, and Larry Turner (Jean) of Richmond; brother-in-law, E.W. Perdue (Peggy) of Winchester; numerous nieces and nephews. ET was a loving father and friend who will be missed by many. Graveside services will be conducted from Franklin Memorial Park 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 9, 2013 with Dr. Jack Corvin officiating.
