Eleanor S. Washburn

Eleanor S. Washburn, age 77 of Snow Creek, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, September 21, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Washburn; mother, Winnie Conway and father, P.O. Sink. She was an active member of Snow Creek Christian Church where she sang in the choir for many years. Also she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Snow Creek Rescue Squad. She is survived by her children, Timothy Washburn (Jenny), Vickie Washburn and Melisa Lynch (Stephen); grandchildren, Brittany Sigmon (Seth), Joshua Washburn (Morgan), Christopher Lynch (Patricia), Kyle Lynch (Taylor) and Stephen Lynch IV; great grandchildren, Gavin Sigmon, Hayley Lynch and Christopher Lynch, Jr.; sister, Diane Arrington; nephew, Dean Arrington; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at Snow Creek Christian Church, 11:00 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Bill Oliver, Rev. Jim Compton, Pastor Bobby Young and Pastor Derek Layman officiating. Interment will follow in Snow Creek Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Amedisys Hospice, 5221 Valley Park Drive, Suite 2, Roanoke, Virginia 24019. Her family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Sunday at Snow Creek Christian Church. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
