Elizabeth H. Corn, beloved friend to many, an adored Mother, and a devoted and loving wife, passed on to her heavenly reward on September 7, 2013. Elizabeth was born on February 20, 1922 in Danville, VA. She and her husband moved to Rocky Mount in 1963 where she worked at Leggetts, The Melody Shop, and Ben Franklins. She later moved to Staunton and worked at New York Dress Shop until she retired and moved back with her husband to Rocky Mount in the 80?s. She was a member of Rocky Mount Baptist Church and loved singing in the choir there and previously at the Story Creek Baptist Church when her husband was their pastor. Her talent of singing kept her happy all of her life as well as her love of God and Family. Her sharp common sense and strong determination kept her active up to the day she joined our Father in Heaven.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Jack Shelton Corn, her father, Gilbert Hollie and mother, Mary Hollie. She is survived by her Son, William Burton Corn, of Roanoke, Daughter, Janet Hollie Killgore (Son-in-Law, Jimmie), of Roanoke, Daughter-in-Law, Deborah Corn, of Rocky Mount, Brother-in-Law, John Corn, and Sisters-in-Law Joyce Watson, Nancy Cassada, and Betty Price, all of Danville, Nephew, James Corn (Rita) of Atlanta, Ga., Grandchildren: Cassandra Corn, Rocky Mount, Alana Beth Young (Calvin) from Henry and Jeremy Killgore (Christie) of Elliston, and Great-Grandchildren Connor Anderson and Luke Corn of Rocky Mount and Brianna Killgore of Elliston.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, September 14, 2013 at the Story Creek Baptist Church with visitation at 10:00 am, Services at 11:00.am and Interment will immediately follow in the church cemetery.
