Ellen M. Bowman

Ellen M. Bowman, age 74 of Rocky Mount died Monday, March 12, 2012 at her home following a lengthy illness. She was born January 15, 1938 in Bradford, PA a daughter of the late Wallace Archibald Sives and Gladys Mae Vanluvander. Surviving are her husband of 42 years, Bruce L. Bowman, Sr.; children, Garry LaFranco and wife Terry, Barbie Board and husband Richard, Bruce Bowman, Jr., Jeff Bowman and wife Lynne; grandchildren, Amanda and Alexander LaFranco, Joey and Chelsie Board, Sarah and Aaron Bowman, Gwen and Claire Bowman; great-granddaughter, Sophia Bowman. Graveside services will be conducted from Mountain View Memorial Park 2:30 p.m. Thursday with Pastor Joe Dillon officiating. Her family will receive friends 1-2 p.m. Thursday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
