Ellen J. Pruitt

Ellen J. Pruitt, age 78 of Glade Hill died Sunday, November 6, 2016. She was born March 11, 1938 a daughter of the late Edgar and Grace Towler. She was also preceded in death by five sisters, Dot Reynolds, Margaret Lee, Joyce Belcher, Faye Harris, Ruth Buchanan; and one brother, Garland Towler. Surviving are her husband, Harold E. Pruitt; two daughters, Lynn Pruitt, Donna Beckner (Wayne); two sons, Michael Todd Pruitt (Rhonda), Eddie Pruitt; five grandchildren, Tracey Radford, Joey Pruitt (Michelle), Travis Pruitt, Savannah Spicer (David), Nicole Pruitt; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Becky McKenzie and Ruby Mull. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Flora Funeral Chapel with Pastor Rusty East officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
